My name is Alicia and I am a Natural Dye - Slow Fashion - Artist from Berlin.

My family is German, Italian and Slovenian. I grew up in small village in south Germany surrounded by pure nature. My memories are free, wild and full of love.

Tell us about your work, passions, pastimes, reason for being.
I was always really connected to nature. My playground was the forest, my Slovenian family lives in the mountains and I love to learn everyday something about flowers, plants and what we can use them for. With Atelier d’Alice I also teach people through workshops, how we can get colors out of botanicals and keep them on ethical, fair and sustainable fashion. My first collection “serendipity” is high quality vintage silk, dyed with natural products.
As a certificated CSR and Sustainability Manager I do not just care for a better dealing with the environment in the fashion industry, but also for equal partnerships and a conscious community.
"The colors of flowers and botanicals can have a really calm, decent aura and on the other one a really wild, colorful one."
Describe your personal style.
I am more the casual, elegant person. Half of my wardrobe is thrifted, my friend’s or mom’s. The question where my clothes come from and which story they carry is important to me.

How does your style reflect your art/work ?
I love to go deep into the details. The colors of flowers and botanicals can have a really calm, decent aura and on the other one a really wild, colorful one. Me and my work reflect both of these sides.
What sort of jewelry do you wear/ or are you drawn to ?
I love earrings and thin rings. Almost all my jewellery have a personal story to me.

My grandfather was a goldsmith – he made golden earrings I mostly wear.
Since years, I wear a golden Necklace from my grandma with the star sign of my grandpa. This one will probably never change.
